Prohibited List

The WADA Prohibited List

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Prohibited List is the International Standard that identifies the substances and methods prohibited in-competition and out-of-competition. WADA is responsible for the preparation and publication of the List, which it updates every year effective January 1.

The 2024 Prohibited List remains in effect until December 31, 2024.

The 2025 Prohibited List will go into effect on January 01, 2025.

WADA’s Summary of Major Modifications and Explanatory Notes provides a review of upcoming changes in the 2025 Prohibited List and IPF encourages all athletes and support personnel to review the documents in preparation for 2025.

The Monitoring program is a list of substances which are not on the Prohibited List, but which WADA wishes to monitor in order to detect patterns of misuse in sport. Please follow the link to view the substances on the 2024 Monitoring Program, as well as those that will be included on the 2025 Monitoring Program.
